I am seeking a position as a social worker. For the last five years I licensed foster homes and also wrote home studies for prospective adoptive parents. Before moving to Illinois I was a Child Protective Services Worker.
I have very good people skills. I am a good listener and an effective communicator. I would love to find a faith based orginization to work with, however, I would be willing to work wherever God leads me.

It is my desire to work full-time in an office setting. Recently I have been responsible for typing all information regarding our church history and business meeting results into a word processor. All of church profiles and design flyers I create as needed for specials occasions.
Even though there has been some time lapse since I worked daily in the office field the desire to do so is very strong.

Because of the economic situation after forty-two years I was caught-up in a reduction of the work force. To maintain my skills and to learn new ones,I started taken office system technology classes at Gaston College. I have various certificates in computer and office skills. I also received my Career Readiness Certificate. I have an Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting Technology. I am currently taken courses to obtain my diploma in Office Administration. I have twenty years experience in preparing, maintaining, and filing employee records. I am proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and NDC Medisoft Advanced Version 9. While working in human resources I over saw all aspects of folders/records for 1,000 employees. I have skills in planning and implementing community service events. I assisted management with resolving and identifying remediation techniques. In addition, I developed and maintained log for service awards. I also collaborated with the security team to ensure company safety. I am an energetic, dependable, detail-oriented person with strong administrative skills. My objective is to obtain a position of administrative support within a progressive office setting. I would prefer a job in the Gaston or Lincolnton area. Due to the the closings of many businesses my hours have been cut. I work at a vending company and the loss of sales has led my company to make cutbacks. I would really like a job that provides 40 hours a week in the Asheboro area. I have experience in clerical and customer service. I also have an Associate Degree in Information Systems.
